My role in your healthcare would be as an adjunct to your primary care provider, teaching you prevention strategies to maximize your health, as well as working with you and your PCP to safely eliminate medications, when possible. I really enjoyed the plant based cooking class that Dr. Johnson provided. It shattered the illusion that whole food eating needs to be difficult or overly expensive. She was able to provide education on everything from cooking techniques to why whole food eating is so beneficial to our overall wellness. Dr. Johnson’s cooking class was amazing! I learned a ton about healthy cooking and lots of new techniques. I have been working with Dr. Johnson for over a month now. She has, truly, changed my eating habits to a plant base lifestyle. I thought I was eating well before I started this new journey…….Obviously not. I have lost 12 pounds in 1 month. It is a lifestyle change and I am liking it. The recipes are fun and easy. Dr. Johnson send out weekly meal ideas…always creating something healthy and fulfilling. One of my favorite events is having a small group for a cooking class. We learned how to easily change out eating habits and she made it easy to learn how to exchange processed food or oils into healthier alternatives. I am looking forward to this new lifestyle journey in life!
